My company signed a contract for cbeyond service and we have been with cbeyond for two years. I have two main complaints.

The first one is the wireless cards for laptops. We have had to replace it twice. They are poorly made and bend in your usb port shifting your usb port upwards. Their solution was to send us a new card at a cost of 200.00 or we sign a new contract for another two years.

My second complaint is the call forwarding feature on the cell phones. My call forwarding feature for whatever reason stopped working 6 months ago. I have been through troubleshooting, doing everything from turning the phone off and removing the battery to having a new handset sent to me. I have submitted 4 trouble tickets and had reps go thru the process of entering the code and number that I wanted forwarded and still nothing.

The result is we have to call cbeyond each time we want the phone transferred. Which is quite frequent it is our after hours phone. We also have to call them each time we want it unforwarded.

We get lots of apologies from cbeyond but very little positive action. Sign that contract at your own risk.

Wow, this whining is pretty pathetic. I've been with the company 3 years now and have over 350 clients...

many, if not all, are happy. I've gotten solid experience and made good money.

True, as a sales employee, I have to help fix some things once in a while but the product is fine. I have plenty of references if you would like some legitimate facts, otherwise have fun blogging.

Yep pretty horrible place. If you have any other offers, take them!

You can learn all about Cbeyond by just typing Cbeyond Complaints into any search engine and what the info flow. We were previous Cbeyond customers.

We cancelled because they lied to us and cheated us.

Now we've been hit with, are you ready, a 16,000.00 dollar bill. They are a scam

I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW MORE ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH CBEYOND. I HAVE JUST MET WITH THEM AND AM THINKING OF CHANGING OVER.

Hi, I am with Eye Virtual, and we provide similar (but way better) services than CBeyond. I want you to know that you are not alone.

I am an Account Exec and when I talk to new clients, they are fed up with CBeyond and their poor customer service and actual service. I have never dealt with the company myself, just spoken with many unhappy clients.

But, if you are looking for better services with great customer service, let me know, I will be more than willing to assist! chris.rountree@***.com www.EyeVirtual.com

We were talked into a C-Beyond system installation in our office with the comfort of knowing that if their system did not work we would have 30 days to opt out. The system was so bad and delivered absolutely nothing so we opted out within two weeks of the installation of the T-1 server.

Unfortunately no one would respond to our phone calls or e-mails. For over two months we tried to port our phone numbers back to AT&T and C-Beyond would not release them. Finally they released them after about 2.5 months. They came in and ripped out the T-1 and screwed up our phone wiring system so we had to have a specialist come back in to repair that.

Now they are pressing us for over $8700 in installation and early cancellation fees for a service they never provided. They offered to settle for $2000. I told them I would pay them $1000 just to get them out of my hair. My costs to put myself back where I was prior to C-Beyond cost me more than $2000.

C-Beyond turned down my $1000 offer and informed me that my company's credit would be shot and that I should consider getting legal advice.

This is one company you do not want to deal with. They were pushy, they represent something that isn't true, they did not deliver what they promised and now they are wanting to be paid an exorbitant amount for providing nothing except major aggravation.

Have you ever tried using the scheduled call-forwarding feature on CbeyondOnline? You can manage about 85% of your account there without ever having to pick up a phone. ;)

These guys are spammers.

Sales reps are encouraged to *imply* anything just to get the deal, and to get customers signed as fast as possible, breezing through 4 pages of fine print legalese until we have their signature. In order to get out of a contract they have to pay thousands of dollars, I think something like for a whole year's worth of service.

The main problem is ...

Cbeyond sells a very specific service of average quality that is applicable to a minority of small business owners.

But we're encouraged to apply it broadly to as many businesses as we can, regardless of whether it's a good fit (usually not). in Cbeyond's case, we promise WAY more than we can actually deliver, and the majority of people we sign on don't need it.

Sounds like you weren't removing your USB card when your cpu wasn't in use, aka it got bent cause you had it attached when you carried your laptop around. I doubt they charged you $200 since I bought my card from them for only $25. Besides, why should they pay for something you broke?
